On June 12, 2026, the U.S. government published its third release of declassified UAP files through the PURSUE initiative, building on the first two tranches released May 8 and May 22. The release includes 53 documents and 10 digital renderings from several agencies, including the CIA, FBI, NASA, and the Pentagon, along with six videos and three NASA audio recordings, covering incidents dating back to 1949.

After a February 19 directive by the President ordering the release of government files related to UAP, the Department of War launched the PURSUE archive at war.gov/UFO on May 8 with an initial tranche of 162 files, followed by 222 files on May 22. The June 12 release adds 72 newly declassified files to the archive, which the Department says continues to be housed at war.gov/UFO. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said the Department of War and its agency partners are actively working on the next release, noting the site has received over 1.7 billion hits worldwide since its launch on May 8.

What makes the third drop notable is its shift toward civilian and eyewitness material. Four of the videos show eyewitness footage of strange encounters, a shift from previous releases, which were dominated by military footage.
